1a) I always thought that an enterprise software would involve multiple departments. "Enterprise software, also known as enterprise application software (EAS), is computer software used to satisfy the needs of an organization rather than its individual users." (Wiki)

1b) DDD was neven about performance, while many games are.

2) MFC was a goodie to lure more users into MS C/C++ compiler. Obviously at the expense of other compilers. It was not a separate product, IIRC.

3) By whom was it designated as "C for application development"?
